Borderlands 2 join game error time out fix!

Borderlands 2 purchased through Steam may time out when you try to join your friends game in progress.  The steps below will fix the time out error and prevent messing with port forwarding.

  1. In your Steam game library right click on Borderlands 2.
  2. Choose properties.
  3. In the general tab open set launch options.
  4. Type “-tcp”.
  5. Enjoy Borderlands 2 with your friends!
